What's the 2008 conference all about?:
As Pagans most of us strive to live as much in harmony with Mother Earth and our environment as possible. But are we doing enough? The 2008 conference will focus on what we, as Pagans, are doing to "leave our world a better place" and to make sure that we are making a sustainable tomorrow for our children and our children's children.
Toronto Pagan Conference (TPC) is an event that celebrates spiritual diversity. TPC helps to develop networks among different Pagan groups and individuals on their spiritual paths & to help those who are still seeking out their path. The conference continues its community building efforts with giving pagans, and the non-pagan public, an event that will strive to better the environmental, personal, community & spiritual values in our lives.
Our Featured Speaker for the 2008 event, Hugo Bonjean will help us to understand what we can do to become ecologically and environmentally aware along our journey as we travel our individual spiritual paths.
Hugo Bonjean is the Author of "In the Eyes of Anahita an adventure in search of Humanity". To learn more visit his website at www.intheeyesofanahita.com
OUR SPEAKERS BIOS AND SCHEDULE OF EVENTS ARE UP. CHECK THEM OUT!
Friday night we will be entertained but the incredibly talented Thoth Ganesh during our Meet and Greet. Be sure to mingle, listen to some wonderful pagan tunes and get to know your fellow Pagans, as you will surely have much to discuss with our jam-packed schedule.
On Saturday evening we are again having our Gourmet Dinner for pre-paid attendees. For those who are not attending the dinner we will have a Meditative Tea Ceremony from 6:00 – 7:30 pm, be sure to sign up early though as space will be limited to 40 people. Sign up sheets can be found at Registration.
Later on the Saturday night we will be doing things a little differently this year. We will be having a showing of the film, An Inconvenient Truth in the Scandia 1 from 8:30pm to 10:30 pm.
If you wanted to do something a little more “upbeat” we are having something special . . .
For our Saturday Night Entertainment (8:30 pm – 11pm) we are very pleased to be able to offer our conference participants, and those day/evening guests who wish to join in, the opportunity to have a very special event. You will be the entertainment; this is your opportunity to give something back.
We will be “Drumming for the Earth”. This will be a by donation event (included in the weekend pass) that’s purpose is to have a drumming circle while we raise energy, and a little money, for our Mother Earth. A portion of the suggested $5 donation will go to saving the trees in Algonquin Park in northern Ontario. So bring your drums, your voices, you shakers, your spirit and other instruments to give to an important cause while you have some fun too!!
