Roland Proulx

Roland E. Proulx is an author, speaker, artist and designer. He comes from a long line of healers, diviners and storytellers from the Ottawa Valley. At the age of 17 he left home for Montreal to pursue his artistic dreams. He received Canada Council and travel grants, which took him to New York, London and Paris at the age of 22. He moved to Toronto in 1969 to explore interior and furniture design, and has continued his artwork, which is found in THE ELECTRIC ORACLE SPEAKS, as his career as an author and speaker began to take flight.

Proulx’s love of philosophy, ethics and general homespun wisdom has taken him around the world, from South America to Europe and as far as India. A long-time student of yoga, a steadfast practitioner of meditation, and a passionate believer in the power of thought, Proulx synthesizes these elements into a personal philosophy that is at once practical and visionary. He has channeled this wealth of insight into a satisfying and successful career of motivational speaking, giving seminars based on his rich and vibrant worldview. Among his upcoming speaking engagements are the Toronto Learning Annex and Gilda’s Club (GTA). As well, THE ELECTRIC ORACLE SPEAKS is being considered for a package for the Gay Lesbian Law International Conference this summer. Three more books in the ELECTRIC ORACLE series are planned for future release.
