TPC 2007 Lecture CD Offer

Hobbes

Bio:

Originally from Quebec city, Hobbes has been living in Montreal since the spring 1993. He's a professional and published writer, working as a biographer/technical writer by day (with Documentia) and telling tales as a storyteller by night. In February of 2005, he published his first book/CD of stories called You Don't Know Jack. Hobbes is currently the president of the Montreal Pagan Resource Centre and believes in providing opportunities and offering choices to the local pagan community. He has led several public rituals over the past few years and has more planned for the coming year. In terms of his own spiritual path, it's a long and winding one. Not content with any one path or tradition, he explores freely finding truth and enlightenment in a variety of cultures and perspectives.

Topic:

Creating Local Pagan Resource Centres
This presentation will outline the work needed to start, run, and maintain a Pagan Resource Centre based on the model used by the Montreal Pagan Resource Centre (est. 2001). I will attempt to show how a physically-located Resource Centre (non-Internet based) can not-only benefit the Pagan and non-Pagan community, but how it can also be an investment with a positive return for the hosting storefront business.
Topics covered in the presentation will included a brief history of the MPRC; services to offer, managing volunteers, taking donations and building a budget; working in the space of another business; and the joys and frustrations.
