Beyond Compact Fluorescents -- Living Sustainably with One Another
It is impossible to turn on a radio, read a magazine, or peruse the internet headlines without encountering discussions about global warming, water scarcity, and the imminent environmental catastrophe that those in wealthy, industrialized nations have foisted not only upon themselves, but upon the rest of the world.
The scope and the immediacy of this crisis masks another crisis of the urbanized West -- the loss of human connections. This workshop invites participants to share ideas about ways in which we can build sustainable communities -- both emotionally and environmentally.
